Oakland's Garrett County Has The Best Fall Foliage In The USA!!! Our deciduous trees "green up" during those warm summers, then turn worlds of color in our cool falls. Check them out in late September to early October.  At the height of the colors, the annual Autumn Glory Festival is held.  The festival is held in mid-October (check the events link for the dates) beginning with a Fireman's Parade held on Thursday night and the Grand Feature Parade held on Saturday.  Enjoy a variety of beautiful and unique crafts, great food, and antiques during the festival.
