Autumn Glory Festival: Taking it to the Streets
Taking it to the Streets is a family fun event on the Friday of the Autumn Glory Festival. The streets of downtown Oakland are closed, traditionally there is music, performers, dancers, jugglers, and much more!
Pocket Park Movies
Pocket Park Movies are a great family night out! Pocket Park movies are shown at dusk in the First United Bank pocket park at the corner of 2nd and Alder Streets. In case of rain, movies are held in the Mountain Fresh Pavilion down by the Town Parking lot. Movies are shown on Thursdays.
Litte Yough Summer Concert Series
GOBA/Main Street coordinates the annual concert line-up for the "Little Yough Summer Concert Series". These free concerts are held weekly during the summer beginning the first Friday in July and continuing through Labor Day. In addition, the weekly Thursday night free pocket park movies in downtown Oakland as well as the annual Wonderful Wednesday promotion.
"A Great Small Town Christmas"
It is fun for the entire family with a parade, georgeous Christmas
decorations, singing, store specials, a bonfire, tree lighting ceremony and much more!
"Winterfest" which was previously held on President's Day weekend in February, will now be held on the second weekend in December in conjunction with "A Great Small Town Christmas". There are generally ice carving demonstrations by Master Ice Carver Bill Sandusky, illuminated ice sculptures, an ice bowling alley and slide, and a Progressive Dinner.
