McCartney comes from a family of Appalachian woodcrafters. She
takes pieces of basswood and carves whimsical folk art renditions.
Her work has been accepted by the Early American Life Museum
Society and the WV Tamarack Artisan Association. Each piece
is whittled by hand and then painted to bring out its unique
personality. |

has been making jewelry for the past twenty years using copper
enamel, clay, beads and wire wrap. Her present emphasis is on
wire wrap and metal fabricating. She forges, solders, wraps,
and sets stones in bezel wire to create different textures on
the metal. Pam produces one of a kind sterling silver pieces
and will begin 14 karat gold designs. Pam lives with her family
in the Appalachian Mountains and is an artist and musician. |

Wrenn is a retired Baltimore, MD firefighter who enjoys the
intricacy and challenge of scroll saw work. It is believed that
the first ifne scroll saw blades were invented by a German clockmaker
in the late 1500s. Leslie is a member of the Scroll Saw Association
of America and makes a wide variety of scroll saw items that
are functional as well as decorative including custom Victorian
ornamental gingerbread. |

Zook is a retired Pleasant Valley Amish farmer who gardens,
raises honeybees and designs and makes functinoal furniture
and wooden toys. Elmer will do custom work and make specialty
items. He crafts Adirondack style garden and outdoor furniture
and comfortable gliders for front porch sitting. Wooden toys
feature workable parts and other designs, like airplanes, are
made for children to rock on. Elmer also sells Amish Wildflower
Honey. |
