G.O.B.A. - Greater Oakland Business Association

The Greater Oakland Business Association is an organization of business leaders that work towards improving the business climate in town. As part of their revitalization effort, GOBA has recently decided to have Oakland become a Main Street Community. Our Main Street effort is part of the National Historic Trust's Main Street Program and is helping us get the word out that Oakland is not only a nice place to visit but a good place to do business. For more information about GOBA and the Oakland Main Street Program, call City Hall at 301-334-2691.  The Main Street Program was made possible for us by not only a grant from GOBA but also from the Appalachian Regional Commission and the Mayor and Town Council of Oakland.
